慷慨的；大方的
One way to picture it: a hand that opens wider than it has to. The person could give the small, expected amount — and gives more instead, without counting it back.
一隻手張得比「需要」更開。給的人明明可以只給剛好的份量，卻多給了一些，而且給完就不去回頭計較。這個「比應有的更多、而且不斤斤計較」的動作，就是 generously 三個用法共同的那隻手——只是有時給出去的是錢或時間，有時是食物的份量，有時是對別人的看法。
