喜樂美語

The word is literally what is put out. Picture a factory with a door at the far end: whatever goes on inside, this word points only at what comes through that door — the finished amount, measured. Swap the factory for a computer or a generator and the picture holds: something is doing work inside, and output is the part that leaves.

可以想成：out（出去）+ put（放），也就是「被放出來的東西」。畫面像一座工廠，盡頭有一道門——裡面在忙什麼先不管，這個字只指從那道門出來的成品，而且通常是可以量的。把工廠換成電腦、換成發電機，畫面一樣成立：裡面在運作，output 就是往外送出來的那一部分。所以它跟 input（送進去的）永遠是一對。
