From Latin intrudere: in- (in) + trudere (to thrust, to push hard).
拉丁文拆開來看非常直接：in-（進去）+ trudere（用力推）。trudere 這個字根就是「使勁地推」，同一個根也留在 protrude（往外突出）裡——一個往外推，一個往裡推。知道了這個，intrude 為什麼聽起來這麼不客氣就很清楚了：它的骨子裡就有一個推擠的動作，不是輕輕走進來。
