本來有個被線圍起來、安安靜靜屬於自己的範圍，然後有東西從外面擠進來，把那份安靜弄破了。和 intruder 不同的是，intrusion 不是講「那個人」，而是講「擠進來這件事」本身，所以主角不一定是人——可能是一通半夜的電話、一則新聞、一台推土機的聲音。重點永遠在：這個東西進來了，而裡面的人不想要它進來。

From Latin in- ('in') + trudere ('to push, thrust'), via Medieval Latin intrūsiō: literally 'a pushing in' as an event or act.
從拉丁文 in-（進入）+ trūdō（推、擠）來，經中世紀拉丁文 intrūsiō 進入古法文再到英文。-sion 這個字尾把動作變成一件「事情」，所以 intrusion 字面上就是「一次往裡面推」——現代兩個意思都還是在描述那一下推進來的事件。
