You can picture a line that marks where one space ends and another begins — a border, a threshold, the edge of someone's private world — and then a force pushing hard across that line into ground it was never welcome in. Invasion holds that image of crossing a boundary and pouring into a place that isn't yours.

From the word’s history
Invasion comes from Latin invadere 'to go into, enter as an enemy', made of in- 'in' + vadere 'to go' (the same root that gives us wade). The word is literally 'a going-in' — a force moving across into somewhere, which is exactly the core picture.
invasion 來自拉丁語 invadere『進入、以敵人之姿闖入』，由 in-『進入』加上 vadere『走、去』組成（vadere 也就是英文 wade『涉水前進』的同源根）。這個字字面上就是『走進去』——一股力量越過界線移進某地，正好對應核心畫面。
