Think of a good feeling that will not stay hidden inside. Someone is happy, and it leaks out where others can see it — in the voice, the smile, the way they move. Cheerful is never the quiet, private kind of happiness; it is happiness that shows on the outside and warms whoever is nearby.
「藏不住的好心情」：一個人心裡舒服，那份舒服自己跑到外面來——跑到聲音裡、笑容裡、走路的樣子裡。cheerful 從來不是那種安靜、只有自己知道的快樂，而是看得見、聽得出來的快樂，而且會順便讓旁邊的人也暖起來。英文裡的 cheer 本來就跟「臉色、神情」有關，所以這個字天生就是往外顯露的。
