Picture reaching for something and finding the door shut: the thing exists, it just cannot be had right now. English uses the same word whether what you cannot get is a product, a seat, or a person's time.

可以想成：伸手去拿，卻發現門是關的——東西存在，只是這個時候拿不到。不管拿不到的是商品、位子，還是某個人的時間，英文都用同一個字。它的口吻中性而客氣，正因為不說原因，所以在公告和公事場合特別好用。
