Availability is the state of being there for you to reach when you want it — within arm's reach, ready to be had. The word asks one question: is it actually right now? That same question splits two ways: for things (can you get it, buy it, find it?) and for people (do they have the free time?).

可以想成 availability 講的是「你要用的時候，它到底在不在、拿不拿得到」這種狀態——伸手就能搆到、隨時可以取得。整個字其實在問同一個問題：現在真的弄得到嗎？而這個問題乾淨地分成兩邊——對東西，是買不買得到、找不找得到；對人，是有沒有空。
