A boundary drawn around things so that something sits inside it, not outside. To include is to have something within your circle — counted as one of the parts that belong inside.

可以想成在一群東西外面畫一個圈，某樣東西被圈在裡面、不在外面。include 就是『把某物算在這個圈內』——它是圈裡的一份子，屬於整體的一部分。兩個用法都是同一個圈，差別只在那樣東西是本來就在裡面，還是被人放進去的。

From Latin 'includere' = in- (in) + claudere (to shut), literally 'to shut in', i.e. to enclose something within a boundary.

源自拉丁文 includere：in-（在裡面）+ claudere（關閉），字面意思是『把…關進裡面』，也就是把某物圈進一個界線之內——這正好對上現代『包含、圈在裡面』的核心畫面。
