One way to hold it: nothing is in the way. Clean glass, a voice with no noise over it, a mind with no fog in it — whatever is there comes through undistorted. When a speaker puts the word in front of a whole sentence, they are saying the same thing about a fact: it is in plain view, so there is nothing to argue about.
