    So strong or so beautiful that you will never forget it. We use it about an experience, a sight, a moment, or a person, usually a wonderful one, but sometimes one that was very sad or strange.

    「unforgettable」可以想成由三塊拼起來：forget（忘記）＋ -able（可以…的）＋ un-（不），合起來就是「不可能忘掉的」。它幾乎都用在好事上——一趟旅行、一場表演、一個畫面、一個人，強到會跟著你一輩子。跟 memorable 很像但更強：memorable 是「會記得很久」，unforgettable 是「這輩子都忘不掉」，所以不要每件小事都用它。

Think of something that stamped itself on you so hard that you could not get rid of it even if you tried: years later the sight, the taste, or the person is still there when you close your eyes. The word does not say the thing was good — it says it was too strong to fade. Most of the time people use it for something wonderful, but a very sad or very strange moment can be unforgettable too.
