thrilled 是「興奮」和「高興」加在一起的那種開心：好消息一來，整個人先愣住、再跳起來。可以想成它就像從 thrill（一陣興奮竄過身體的感覺）長出來的——被那股感覺填滿，而且是舒服、快樂的那一種。比 happy 強得多，比 excited 多了「滿意、高興」（excited 有時候是緊張的興奮，thrilled 一定是好事），比 ecstatic 平淡一點。它放在 be 動詞後面（She was thrilled.），要放在名詞前面時，英文會改用 thrilled 的兄弟字 thrilling（a thrilling game 一場精彩刺激的比賽）。
