    The past tense and past participle of teach: used when someone gave lessons in a subject, or showed another person how to do something or how to think about something, at some time before now.

    of teach的 The past tense過去式 and和 past participle過去分詞：used用在 at some time before now過去某個時候 when someone gave lessons某人教課 in a subject教一門學科，or或 showed another person教了另一個人 how to do something怎麼做某件事 or或 how to think about something怎麼想某件事的時候。

    「taught」是 teach 的過去式，也是過去分詞——teach-taught-taught，後面兩個長得一模一樣，所以 She taught me、She has taught me、I was taught 都用同一個 taught（沒有 teached 這個字）。teach 可以想成「把自己會的東西交出去，讓它也變成對方的」，所以後面常常先接「學的那個人」（taught me、taught the class），再接科目或方法。這也是 teach 和 learn 最好認的差別：teach 是給出去的那一邊（老師），learn 是拿進來的那一邊（學生），中文的「教」只蓋到前面那一半。

This is not a separate word with its own meaning — it is teach wearing a past-time coat. The picture is still someone handing knowledge or a skill over to another person, only the whole scene has already happened: the lesson is finished, the showing is over.

可以想成這不是另一個新字，而是 teach 換上了「過去」的外衣。畫面還是同一個：一個人把知識或做法交到另一個人手上；只是整個場景已經發生完了——課上完了、示範做完了。所以查 taught 的意思，其實要回頭看 teach；它本身只多帶一個訊息：時間在現在之前。
