If you do something secretly, you do it without letting other people know, so that they do not find out about it.
偷偷地；祕密地
You can picture secretly as a door kept shut: something is really happening, but you have arranged it so that nobody else can see it happening. The action is real and complete — it is only the knowing that is blocked. That one picture covers both meeting someone where no one will spot you and holding a feeling that never reaches your face.
可以想成有一道被關起來的門：事情真的在發生，但你把它安排在別人看不見的那一側。動作本身完整存在，被擋住的只是「別人知道」這件事。這個畫面同時罩得住兩種情況——一種是行為藏起來（在沒人會撞見的地方見面），一種是心情藏起來（那個感覺一直在，只是沒讓它出現在臉上或話裡）。
