    You say secondly when you are giving the second point, fact, or reason in a list of things you want to say.

    Firstly, the new library is bigger. Secondly, it stays open until six.

    逐字第一，新的圖書館比較大。第二，它開到六點。

    secondly 是把話「排順序」時用的字，放在句首、後面加逗號，告訴聽的人：這是第二點，而且我還沒講完。它不會改變那句話本身的意思，只標出它在清單裡的位置。它最常跟 firstly 一組出現（Firstly..., and secondly...），後面可以再接 thirdly、finally。可以想成把理由一顆一顆放到桌上：firstly 放第一顆，secondly 放第二顆，就像在幫聽的人數數。
