"satisfy" is Latin satisfacere, literally "to do enough" (satis "enough" + facere "to make, do"). Being satisfied is the state where enough has been done or given — the same satis sits inside "saturate" and "satiate."
satisfy 來自拉丁文 satisfacere，字面就是「做到夠」（satis「足夠」＋ facere「做」）。satisfied 便是「夠了」的狀態——該給的給了、該做的做了；satis 這個「夠」也藏在 saturate（飽和）、satiate（吃到膩）裡。
