One way to picture removal: something was in a place, and now it is out of that place — the word names that act, not the thing itself. Whatever gets taken out can be a stain, a tree, a person in a job, or a whole household of furniture; the shape of the word stays the same.

可以想成 removal 是「本來在那裡，現在被拿出去了」這個動作的名字——它指的是那一下拿走，不是被拿走的東西。被拿走的可以是一片污漬、一棵樹、一個坐在位子上的人，或是一整屋的家具，但這個字的形狀都一樣。
