One way to picture it: something happens that the ordinary rules of the world say could not happen — and there it is anyway, in front of you. That is the religious sense, and every other use is that same shape borrowed: an outcome so good and so unlikely that it feels as if the rules were bent for you.

可以想成：照這個世界的規矩，這件事根本不該發生——結果它就在你眼前發生了。這是宗教語境裡的神蹟，也是這個字最原始的畫面。其他用法全都是借這個形狀來講事情：結果好到、巧到不像照常理走出來的，講的人於是用「規則被破例了」的口氣來形容它。
