Picture someone stopping and pointing at the part that does not work. That pointing is the whole word — and notice it is neutral about the pointer's mood: it can come from a colleague who wants the report fixed, or from a scholar who has spent thirty years reading one poet. What they share is a judgement being put into words.
可以想成：有人停下來，指著行不通的那個部分。這個「指出來」的動作比較像整個字。要注意它本身不帶情緒色彩：可能來自想把報告改好的同事，也可能來自研究同一位詩人三十年的學者。兩者共通的是——心裡的判斷被說成了話。中文的「批評」聽起來偏負面，英文的 criticism 在藝術和學術場合其實是中性的專業詞。
