    Feeling tired and a little impatient because something does not interest you, or because you have nothing to do.

    「bored」講的是「人心裡的感覺」——覺得沒趣、坐不住、想去做別的事。它有兩種情況：一是眼前這件事你不感興趣（bored with the film），二是根本沒事可做（今天下雨，I'm bored）。最重要的一點：bored 用在「覺得無聊的人」，boring 用在「讓人無聊的東西」，所以自己無聊要說 I'm bored，說 I'm boring 別人會聽成「我這個人很無趣」。

Think of the feeling you get when the thing in front of you gives your mind nothing to hold on to — a long wait, a talk you stopped following, an empty afternoon. Your attention keeps sliding off, and a low restlessness builds underneath: tired, but not sleepy; wanting something to happen, but not sure what. 'Bored' is the -ed form, so it always describes the person who feels it, not the thing that causes it.
