The part of a theatre or concert hall where people sit to watch a play, concert, or show.
觀眾席；聽眾席
You can picture the half of the room that faces the stage: rows of seats up, all of them pointed at one spot. The word names the audience's side of the building — the space built so that a lot of people can sit together and take in whatever is happening at the front.
