Picture a ship leaving harbour and staying at sea for weeks — not a trip to the next town, but a long crossing where you are away from land for a long stretch and the destination is far off. That same picture stretches upward to a spacecraft crossing to another planet. The word carries distance, duration, and a sense of setting out.
可以想成一艘船離開港口、接下來好幾個星期都在海上：不是搭車到隔壁鎮那種移動，而是長時間看不到陸地、目的地遠在天邊的橫渡。同一個畫面往上延伸，就成了太空船飛向另一顆星球。這個字帶著「距離很長、時間很久、而且是鄭重出發」的味道，所以它很少用在日常通勤上。
