Picture a stamp coming down on a document: from this moment the paper counts. Before the stamp it was just a claim; after it, it holds. Validate is that act of making something count — a result confirmed by checking, a ticket marked at the counter, or a person's feelings acknowledged out loud so that they, too, are treated as real.
可以想成：一個章蓋在文件上，從這一刻起這張紙「算數」了。蓋章之前它只是個說法，蓋章之後它站得住。validate 講的就是這個「讓它算數」的動作——可能是經過檢查而確認的結果，可能是櫃檯替你在票上做的記號，也可能是有人把你的感受說出來、當成真的看待。
