Picture a room where nothing has been put back: books on the floor, clothes over the chair, papers spread across the desk. Nothing is broken or dirty — things are simply not where they belong. Untidy is that gap between where a thing is and where it was meant to sit.
可以想成一個沒有人收過的房間：書落在地上、衣服掛在椅背、紙散了一整張桌子。東西沒有壞，也不一定髒，只是全都不在它該待的位置。untidy 抓的就是「東西的實際位置」和「東西原本該放的位置」之間那個落差。
