unaware 是 aware 的反面：事情確實在發生，只是你沒收到、沒注意到。可以想成 aware 是「雷達開著、有收到訊號」，unaware 就像那件事沒進到你的雷達裡。後面最常接兩種東西：unaware of + 名詞（沒察覺到某個東西），unaware that + 一整句（不知道某件事正在發生）。還有一個位置要記：unaware 放在 be、seem、remain 這類動詞後面，不放在名詞前面（說 She was unaware，不說 an unaware girl）。
