    「fame」是「因為你做過的事，很多人都認識你、談論你」的那種出名狀態。可以想成一個人的名字傳到很多陌生人耳裡。它偏中性到正面，重點在「被廣泛知道」；跟 popularity（受歡迎、被喜歡）不同，fame 只說「很多人知道」，不一定代表大家喜歡你。常跟 rise to fame、win fame 搭配。

Picture your name travelling further than you do — strangers in another city already know who you are, because of something you made or did. Fame is that state of being widely talked about. It sits on what you did, not on whether people approve.

可以想成：你的名字跑得比你本人還遠——你沒去過的城市裡，已經有人知道你是誰，因為你做過某件事、拍過某部戲、寫過某首歌。fame 講的就是這種「被很多人知道、被拿出來談」的狀態。它建立在你做了什麼上面，本身不帶好壞評價，所以描述的是廣度，不是敬不敬佩。
