Picture two photographs of the same person or the same street, taken years apart. Changed is what you say when you hold them side by side and they do not match. The word always points backwards to how things used to be, so something has to have happened in between. It does not say whether the new picture is better or worse - only that it is not the old one.
可以想成同一個人、同一條街的兩張照片，中間隔了好幾年。把它們並排看，發現兜不起來，這時候英文就用 changed。這個字永遠指著「以前的樣子」，所以中間一定發生過什麼事。它不說新的那張比較好還是比較糟，只說它不是原來那張了。
