You can picture agree as two minds that line up — they look at the same thing and land in the same place, no gap between them. Hold that 'they line up' picture and the rest follow: saying yes to a plan, talking until you both settle on one decision, two facts that line up and match, and even the polite move of lining up on the fact that you DON'T line up.
