難以預測的
You watch it, you look for a pattern so you can say what comes next — and there isn't one. Whatever happened before tells you nothing about what happens now.
你盯著一樣東西看，想找出規律好推測下一步——結果找不到。predict 是「事先說出來」，un- 把它取消掉：不是「難猜」，而是「前面發生的事根本不能拿來推後面」。這個字的重點在於「線索失效」：連續五天出太陽，第六天照樣可能下暴雨；你昨天摸清他的脾氣，今天完全不管用。所以英文裡它常帶一點不安的味道——不能預測，就沒辦法事先準備。
