Suggestive has two common uses. Most often, it describes something — a joke, a look, a piece of clothing — that hints at sex without saying it directly; people might call a comment 'a bit suggestive' if it feels flirty or slightly rude in that way. It can also mean simply 'making you think of something' — 'the shape was suggestive of a bird' means the shape reminded you of a bird, or hinted at it. This second use is more neutral and a little formal.
