    Almost the same as something or someone, but not exactly.

    「similar」可以想成「很像，但不是一模一樣」——兩個東西有很多共同點，可是還是有一點不同。比 the same（完全一樣）弱，比 different（不同）近。要說「跟……像」用 similar to，要說「在某方面像」用 similar in。
