風景
Picture standing still and letting your eyes travel over everything spread out in front of you — hills behind hills, a river, a line of trees — taken in as one whole view rather than as separate things. Scenery can be thought of as the backdrop a place gives you: not one object you point at, but the whole scene your eyes rest on. That is why it behaves like a mass, not a countable thing.
可以想成你停下腳步，讓眼睛慢慢掃過眼前攤開的一切——一層一層的山、一條河、一排樹——不是一件一件去數，而是整片一起收進眼裡。scenery 就像是一個地方給你的整面背景：不是你指得出來的某個東西，而是眼睛安放在上面的那一整片。也因為它是「整片」，英文裡不說 a scenery、也不說 sceneries。
