Perfectibility is the idea that something — a person, a society, a skill — can be and perhaps even made perfect. It is a noun: not already perfect, but able to be perfected. Philosophers have argued for a long time about whether human beings have perfectibility, meaning whether we can keep getting better until nothing is wrong with us. Though actually, in ordinary talk you rarely need this word; people say can be instead. When you do meet it, it is often in serious writing about education, , or human nature. It does not mean the thing is perfect now.
