Think of it as a fire burning inside someone that is too big to hide — it leaks out through the voice, the eyes, the body. The word does not tell you what a person does; it tells you how much fire was showing while they did it.
一個人心裡有一團燒得很旺的火，而這團火大到藏不住，會從聲音、眼神、動作裡漏出來。passionately 這個副詞描述的不是「做了什麼」，而是「做的時候，那團火有多明顯」。所以同樣一句話，平平地說是 say，帶著火說就是 say it passionately——聽的人不必問你在不在乎，光聽就知道了。這團火最原始、最容易讓人看見的一種，就是愛一個人的時候那種燒起來的樣子。
