A problem that happens because someone did not understand a question, a situation, or an instruction in the right way.
誤會；誤解
Two people think they are talking about the same thing, but each one has taken the words in a different way. Nobody lied and nobody was stupid — the message simply arrived wearing the wrong shape.
兩個人以為在講同一件事，話出口了、也聽進去了，可是聽的人接到的形狀跟說的人送出的形狀不一樣。字面上 mis-（錯開）+ understanding（理解），重點不在「誰錯了」，而在「理解錯開了」——沒有人說謊，也不是誰笨，只是訊息在中間走了樣。這個畫面很重要，因為它天生帶著一層體貼：把問題掛在「理解」上，而不是掛在人身上。
