Bright because a light has been switched on — used about a window, a room, a doorway, a street and so on, and usually placed in front of the noun.
亮著燈的；點著燈的
Think of walking down a dark street and seeing which things have been switched on or set going. A window glows because someone is home. A candle on a table has a small flame at the top. In both cases the word points at the same thing: somebody did something earlier, and what you can see now is the result still going. The -ed ending is doing that work — it hands you the state after the act, not the act.
可以想成你走在一條暗暗的街上，一路看哪些東西「已經被弄亮了」。一扇窗發著光，因為裡面有人。桌上一根蠟燭，頂端有一小團火。兩種情況指的其實是同一件事：先前有人動了手，而你現在看到的是那個結果還在持續。-ed 這個字尾就是在做這件事——它交給你的是「動作之後的樣子」，不是動作本身。至於是哪一種亮，得看它接的是什麼：接房間、窗戶就是燈開著；接蠟燭、火柴就是那個東西自己在燒。
