Picture a set of teams sorted onto the same shelf because they all belong together and can be measured against each other — and once they're on that shelf, you can read off who sits higher and who sits lower. 'League' carries both ideas at once: a group bound together, and a level on a ladder of quality.

可以想成一群隊伍被放到同一個層架上：它們被綁在一起、彼此較量，而一旦排上去，就看得出誰高誰低。league 同時帶著兩個畫面——一個是「綁在一起的一群」，一個是「品質階梯上的某一格」。後面那些『同不同一個 league』的講法，其實都是從這個「同一格／不同格」的畫面長出來的。
