To start a car whose battery has lost its power by joining it with cables to the battery of another car, so that power flows across and the engine starts.
接電發動（汽車）
Two cars nose to nose, thick cables between them, and a dead engine suddenly turning over. One machine lends power to another, just for a moment; after that the car runs on its own again. The whole word lives in that moment — a single outside jolt that gets something going, not a hand that keeps holding it up.
