直覺
One way to picture it: knowing something by looking straight at it in one glance, without stopping to work it out step by step — the answer arrives before the reasons do.
比較像：你一眼看過去，答案就已經在那裡了，而你還說不出理由。不是推理、不是查資料、不是把事實排開來比對，是那種「我就是覺得不對勁」的直接感覺。intuition 有趣的地方在於它同時包含兩件事——那份感覺本身，和感覺告訴你的內容；英文用同一個字裝這兩層，中文都翻成「直覺」，但用起來一個是能力、一個是那個念頭。

From Latin intueor ('to look at, gaze upon, consider'), from in- ('on, at') + tueor ('to look, watch'): the sense of knowing by direct looking rather than by reasoning through steps.
拉丁文 intueor 是「注視、看著」，由 in-（朝向）+ tueor（看、守望）組成。所以 intuition 骨子裡是一個「看」的字——用眼睛直接看見，而不是一步步算出來。這解釋了為什麼直覺總是來得那麼快：在這個比喻裡，你不是在推導，你只是在看。
