Instructional means “made to teach.” An instructional video shows you how to do something. Instructional materials are the books, sheets, and clips a teacher uses. It is a school-and-training word, a bit dry and official — the kind you see on a course page or a box of classroom tools. It names the job of the thing: its purpose is instruction.
