Industriously means “in a hard-working way” — you do the thing with steady effort, not lazily. It is the adverb from industrious, so it has the same meaning and the same trap: it is about how you work, not about industry. A bit formal or ; in speech people often say hard or instead. Though actually, it still turns up in school English because it is a neat pair with industrious, and because writers like it for bees, ants, and students at a desk.
