可以想成好事剛好落在你這裡，而不是落在旁邊的人身上：不是你努力換來的，是運氣那一下正好停在你頭上。所以 fortunate 常常帶著一點比較的味道——說 I'm fortunate to have a job like this，背後其實有一群沒這麼好運的人當對照。它跟 lucky 意思很近，只是語氣正式一些。
