Picture two bottles of milk standing side by side. One tastes of milk, because that is all it is. The other tastes of strawberry, because on the way to the bottle somebody put that taste in. Flavoured is the word that points at the second bottle and at the moment the taste was added. It never tells you the taste is strong, or good, or real. It tells you the taste came from outside, and that is why the word sits so comfortably on packets and menus.
