- 1偵測、檢測（早期發現也常說 early detection）
Detection is when something not obvious is found, or the work of looking for it. Smoke detection in a building, early detection of cancer, the detection of a lie. Though actually, detection is the finding or the process — not the person and not the machine. The person who looks for clues is a detective; the machine is a detector. The word is common in news, medicine, and security. It feels a little technical, but meet it early because of smoke detectors and “early detection” posters.
