    The work of supplying and serving food and drinks at an event such as a party, a wedding or a meeting, as a paid job. It can mean the job at one event, or the whole trade that people work in.

Someone else brings the food to where your event is, and takes care of it. Not a restaurant you go to — the food comes to you.
