Picture someone forward instead of shrinking back — taking the risk, saying the daring thing, not holding themselves in. Bold is that quality of not pulling back. The very same 'not held back, standing right out' then carries over to things you see: a colour or a line that steps forward off the page instead of staying quiet.

可以想成：別人往後縮的時候，這個人反而往前跨一步——敢冒險、敢把大膽的話說出口、不把自己收著。bold 就是這種「不縮、不收斂」的味道。同樣這股「不收著、直接跳出來」也用在看得到的東西上：一個顏色、一條線，不安安靜靜待著，而是從紙面上跳出來抓住你的眼睛。
