An aggregation is a collection of separate things gathered together and treated as one group or one whole. You will meet this word in science, as an aggregation of cells or of data, and in business and , where a news website that is an 'aggregator' collects, or aggregates, articles from many other sources into one place. The key idea is many small things combined into one bigger group, often so they can be measured, viewed, or compared together.
