    Woodwork usually means one of two things. First, it's the wooden parts of a house or room — the doors, window frames, — 'the woodwork needs painting' means those wooden parts need fresh paint. Second, it's the skill or hobby of making things out of wood, like furniture — 'he does woodwork on weekends.' There's also a fun idiom: 'come out of the woodwork' means people suddenly appear, out of nowhere, often when there's money or attention involved — like relatives you never knew about showing up after someone wins the lottery.
