Crying so hard the breath breaks up — short sudden between the cries, chest and shoulders shaking with each one. Not tears, but the broken rhythm of the breath.
哭到呼吸被打斷的那種狀態：哭聲不是連續的一條線，而是一下一下被切開——每哭一陣，身體就得急促地倒抽一口氣，胸口和肩膀跟著抖。cry 只說明你在流淚，sob 說的是那口氣接不上來、整個身體都被牽動的樣子。一種想法是，sob 的重點不在眼淚，而在那個「抽」的節奏：聲音、呼吸、肩膀，全都一起一頓一頓。
