This is when a group of people fights back openly against a leader, a government, or a rule they think is unfair or wrong — sometimes with weapons, sometimes just by refusing to obey. It doesn't have to be violent or huge; a teenager who breaks family rules on purpose is also showing 'rebellion,' just on a small, personal scale.
